Communication is important.

Translating is not just "making sure the message is understood" - there are automatic translators for that!
​
Translation is much more than that: it is a rather complex process of adapting a text to the target audience, taking into account linguistic and cultural specifics (localization).
All translations are reviewed by native speakers to ensure the highest quality.
Interpreting is an extremely complex operation, which consists of listening, translating and speaking practically at the same time: with a slight delay while the speech is still being given (simultaneous), relaying "blocks" of 5, 10, 15 minutes of speech with the help of note-taking (consecutive), or in dialogic situations, such as business negotiations, consultations, interviews or medical examinations.

Thanks to my training and many years of experience, I can guarantee accurate preparation and reliable performance in any situation.
The recent global health crisis has shown us the importance of remote communication.

I hold a post-graduate certification in "Interpreting with New Media: CAI-Tools, Video and Telephone Interpreting" from the University of Vienna and I am also KUDO and ABLIO certified for remote interpreting.

About me
​
Growing up in a bilingual Italian-Slovenian family in Gorizia, Italy, I studied at two prestigious Schools of Translation and Interpreting, the Scuola Superiore di Lingue Moderne per Interpreti e Traduttori in Trieste (Master's Degree in Conference Interpreting), and at the University of Vienna. Both cities are also still the focus of my work as an interpreter.

My areas of specialization are public administration, politics, gastronomy and food, history, art, music, biotech and technology.
My main working languages are Italian, English, German and Slovenian.
I am also actively involved in adult education (as a language trainer) and in Academia (as a lecturer at the University of Vienna).
